Why do Dubia Roaches make great feeder insects?
-Dubai roaches have a high meat to shell ratio (lots of meat, not a lot of shell, and mostly soft and easy to digest.) This means they are less likely to cause health problems or impaction in sensitive pets. They are high in protein and low in fat. They are also very easy to keep and breed in captivity. Their inability to climb smooth surfaces, fly, or chew through most hard matter makes them very easy to contain. They can’t successfully breed outside of a controlled habitat due to their need for high heat and humidity (if you live in areas where it gets below 70 degrees regularly, that is.) They don’t require specialized food or equipment.
Dubias come in all sizes, which is great if your pets have different …
